Post Production: Sound Effects

For our sound effects we knew we had to produce an artifical effect in a dramatic presentation such as the sound of a storm, but the most difficult part was choosing which set sounds. As we were having flashback we wanted to find a 'camera flash' sound almost as if there were a sequences of set pictures. However afterwards we decided that it would be more effective if we put in gunshots in the film. This would make our audience jump and give a more creepy effect.

Post Production: Sound

Implementing sound into our film in all honesty was not too difficult. As expected we had to create come sounds of garageband and also we recorded other non-diegetic music. Then as a lsat resort we used some music we gained from websites that we safe and were not copyright therefore we weren't breaching any form of contract from third-parties.

Before we added all our frames together we set up a system where both of us would choose the type of music to go with each frame. It was fairly common that we both chose the same music however when we disagreed, we explained our decisions in more detail and reasoned with each other to get the best result that would benefit our film.

Post Production: Special Effects

After filming, special effects were pretty hard to find and when we did find some, it was difficult to choose where to put the effects in our film. However after time we did decide that if we added in title sequences throughout the opening it would look more distorted and scare the audience even more. By applying black and white features to other parts of our film this would give a more 'spooky' effect in our film aswell. Finally we decided that it would be beneficial for our film if we faded some of our lighting and dimmed some of the natural lighting shown in most of our clips.

Post Production: Editing

As expecting, the main challenge of our film was going to be the editing. We found it quite challenging as we had to tint certain frames, we had to set different fading effects and even the music had to modified. Although this was very time-consuming we bothworked out a schedule and made sure that our film was going to be completed and ready with time to spare.

The main part of our editing was cutting separate scenes of our film, putting them together with fade effects and establishing which type of camera movements and angles would be better to implemement in our film.
